Bona Wood Floor Varnish

Bona Mega wood floor lacquer is a one-component water-borne 100% polyurethane finish for the surface treatment of wooden floors in commercial and domestic areas subject to heavy wear.

As crosslinking is achieved using the oxygen in the air, this floor lacquer has the performance of a two-component finish without requiring any mixing. It has all the advantages of a waterborne system and has a solvent content of approx 5%.

Where to use Bona Mega wood floor lacquer?

• In commercial and domestic areas subject to heavy wear. New / existing floors sanded to bare wood or prefinished or prefinished / previously finished floors (in conjunction with Bona Crosslinker)

• 70% Renewable source raw materials
• Solvent based characteristics of a rich colouration, superb depth of finish and excellent wear / scratch resistance together with the benefits of a waterbone finish

Technical Data

• Prefinished / previously finished floors must be overcoated in conjunction with Bona Crosslinker and if required adhesion tests carried out.
• Will yellow artificially coloured / stained white or pastel coloured floors
• Brown or darker colours are unaffected by this process
• Should be used with Prime Classic or Prime Tempo to reduce yellowing on paler timber.
• Type of finish: 1-component waterborne 100% polyurethane oxygen crosslinking finish
• Solids content: Approx. 32%
• Viscosity: Approx. 17 sec. (25°C, FC4)
• pH-value: Approx. 7.8
• Resistance to wear: Approx. 5 mg/100 revolutions (SIS 923509)
• Sheen (at 60°): Gloss: approx. 90, Silk Matt: 45-50, Matt: 25-30
• Mixing ratio: The finish is 1-component
• Drying time: 2½-3 hours at 20°C / 60% R.H.
• Application tools: Roller, lacquer brush or applicator
• Coverage: 8-10 m2/litre (120-100g/m2) per coat
• Safety: Unclassified
• Shelf life: 1 year from date of production in unopened original container

Storage / transport: The temperature must not fall below +5°C or exceed +25°C during storage and transport

Disposal: Wastes and emptied containers should be handled in accordance with local regulations.
