Creative Wood Floor Collection
The most popular collection is The Creative Collection. With a choice of floor board sizes, colour oils and finishes you can literally create your perfect floor.
We have a massive selection of engineered flooring to suit all tastes of budgets, whether you are looking for our bespoke Creative Wood Flooring or a large range of quality boards in a variety of sizes. Each board has a hardwood layer that ranges in thickness from 3mm to 6mm. The middle and bottom layers are made from either birch, poplar or hardwood, sourced from premium quality, sustainable forests. The high quality manufacturing makes this type of flooring not only durable but easy to install using a variety of fitting methods.
Suitability of Engineered Flooring
Thanks to its rigidity and resistance to the atmosphere, engineered flooring is ideal in places where solid wood is not be a viable option. This is due to the resilient middle and bottom layers that are made of poplar wood or birch. Environments ideal for engineered inlcude conservatories that absorb large amounts of heat need flooring that will not expand, or even cellars where wood is laid on top of concrete.
Installing your Engineered Oak Flooring
Engineered wood flooring comes in two styles: square-edged and bevelled, both of which are used depending on what style of floor you are looking to create. Square-edged flooring minimises the joins between each board creating a seamless transition of wood planks across your wood floor. Bevelled engineered flooring is more appropriate for that rustic feel of traditional hardwood flooring.
Engineered Oak Floor Boards and Underlay
Underlay is seen more and more as a necessity than an after thought. Not only does it provide significant sound dampening qualities on hardwood floors but also helps to insulate the surrounding area. In addition, the physical barrier created by the underlay provides comprehensive protection from damp rising above your subfloor.
