We have a range of hardwood oak rough sawn timber or planed timber currently in stock. The oak is kiln dried and air dried. It can be supplied in all thicknesses with the option of waney edged, square edged or prepared boards. We also stock and supply softwood timbers.

Bespoke Timber Milling Service

As timber merchants we offer a full bespoke milling service which includes doors, window sills, tables, fire surrounds, oak beams and many more items. All these are carefully hand crafted to your exact specification and can be provided with the finish of your choice. Mouldings are also available. Hardwood Oak Timber Merchants

Hardwood oak timber merchants suppliers of 27mm thick oak, various widths between 100mm and 250mm available. Length between 2.4 and 2.6 metres. This hardwood oak timber plank comes direct from the mill in its rough sawn state - it has been kiln dried to the correct moisture content and comes waney edged with the bark and sap along the edges. It can be square edge if required.

This hardwood timber is perfect for furniture making (solid oak tables enhance any dining room and are a perfect match for your floor), original planks and any other specification where tongue and groove boards are not required.

The grade of the boards is character grade which does contain some knots and markings - however it is available in a prime grade timber(by special order).

Although our rough sawn timber is supplied unfinished we have a finishing service for all our wood products so it can be planed, sanded or finished to your specification - pricing available on request.

Eco Friendly Timber

Our hardwood timber is eco friendly meaning our wood comes from sustainable forests which is better for the environment than non eco friendly timbers. For other eco friendly woods, see our Eco Friendly Wood Flooring category.

Our Hardwood timber and softwood timber can also be supplied planed and sanded and may be used for a variety of projects such as carpentry, building projects, restoration projects, joinery furniture and so forth.

Walnut Rough Sawn Hardwood Timber

Walnut timber (also known as black hickory nut or Canadian walnut) has a very dark brown to purple-black coloured timber with a grey sapwood. It works well used either as flooring or for high quality furniture items.

Sapele Hardwood Timber

Sapele hardwood timber, also known as Sapelewood or Sapelli has a medium to dark reddish brown colour and well defined striped surface. It is a durable timber ideal for creating quality furniture, shop fitting, solid doors and joinery.

Available in a range of sizes including 25mm, 32mm, 38mm, 50mm, 63mm, 75mm and 100mm. This Sapele Hardwood Flooring carries the FSC label which means that it comes from managed forests. from £10.37

Iroko Hardwood Timber

Iroko has a distinctive golden-orange to brown colour and a very durable heartwood. It is useful for use in both internal and external joinery, flooring, furniture making and joinery.

Utile hardwood timber (also known as "Sipo") has a red-brown appearance with wide striped figures on the surface. Utile is one of the best Mahogany type timbers available making it an excellent choice for flooring, cabinet making, worktops and general construction.
