INTRODUCTION 

BOEN manufactures and distributes a range of hardwood flooring systems including hardwood strip, boards and wood block in a variety of finishes. All hardwoods used are taken from managed sources. 

ArenaSport is a factory finished composite engineered board incorporating a 4mm hardwood wear layer. Kiln dried Tandamp;G end matched and featuring Connex process, laid onto Springbok semi-sprung battens and the data sheet refers to the various component parts. 

Alternative use of the Springbok batten can be found in the BOEN Precisionaire System data sheet. 

APPLICATION 
BOEN ArenaSport is ideally suited for use as activity flooring in Sports Halls, Squash Courts, Dance Floors and Recreation Halls. Also widely used in Village Halls and Community Centres as well as School Halls and Gymnasia. 

All flooring conforms to BS 8201:1987. The Springbok understructure is a registered trade mark (No. 771836). Springbok ArenaSport is tested to and complies with BS 7044 Part 2:1990. 

BOEN ArenaSport is available in Beech, Maple and Oak. 

BOARD DIMENSIONS 

23mm x 139mm x 2200mm length. 6 boards per pack (1.83m squared). 

BATTEN DIMENSIONS AND APPLICATION 
Springbok battens are supplied 46mm x 48mm x 1800mm. 
16 battens per bundle. 

Alternative sizes can be supplied to suit specific projects. The Springbok batten can be used with hardwood boards or strip, plywood or flooring grade particle board fixed to overlapping treated joists supported at prescribed intervals by 10mm rubber pads. The rubber pads form a permanent cushion between the floor and the concrete sub floor.

The average weight of the system is approximately 16kg/m squared. 

COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE 

The understructure is loose laid directly onto concrete or a sand and cement screed. Each of the preservative treated softwood battens is laid in accordance with BS8210:1987. Prefinished.tongued and grooved hardwood boards are secrete-fixed (by nails) at right angles to the direction of the softwood support battens. It is important that the header joint of each board is supported on top of a Springbok batten. An expansion gap is left at the perimeter of the floor to allow for changes in temperature and humidity. 

INSULATION 

The resilient rubber pads effectively reduce impact sound, which can be further reduced by isolating the floors from the walls and skirting. 

The rubber pads provide calculated resilience designed to minimise player fatigue and reduce physiological damage caused by impact. The unique construction of the pads, includes a specially formulated rubber which will not significantly harden or deteriorate over the life of the floor. Alternating air cells are incorporated into the design which permit encapsulated air to be expelled through.</description>

      <description>AUTHORITY 

BOEN Boflex P1 has been fully tested by the Norwegian Building Institute and has passed the DIN Standard test, DIN18032: Part II and to BS 7044 Part 4. It is therefore designed to comply with all requirements laid down by Building Regulations and British Standard Codes of Practice and all acknowledged internationally recognised criteria for sports floors. 

APPEARANCE 

The overall appearance is of a high quality hardwood strip floor. A variety of hardwood species are available in a single grade. Those normally specified are Maple, Beech, Ash and Oak. All hardwood used is taken from managed sustainable sources. 

DIMENSIONS 

BOEN Boflex P1 consists of standard boards measuring 2200mm x 137mm. The boards have a depth of 28mm. Inclusive of the resilient strips. The overall floor height is just 28mm. 

Weight is 11.6kg/m squared or 3.5kg/board. 

DIN STANDARD BOEN Boflex P1 has been designed and manufactured to the DIN standard for sports flooring and has achieved DIN 18032: Part II. COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE BOEN Boflex P1 flooring system consists of prefinished, 3-ply laminate boards, each board consisting of a 4mm hardwood wearing surface backed with two layers of softwood, cross-layered to provide exceptional dimensional stability. Each board is provided with a unique double tongue to ensure adequate lateral strength and rigidity. Inset into each board are two Evazote 50 resilient foam strips which provide the system's major resilient and shock absorption qualities. Each board is factory finished and sealed with 5 coats of UV cured lacquer. PERFORMANCE STRENGTH 

In accordance with BS CP3, Chapter V, BOEN Boflex P1 will safely support distributed loads of 5.0kn/m squared and a point load of 3.6Kn applied through a 25mm indenter. 

FIRE Parquet wood flooring is combustible but not easy to ignite.</description>

It is not a moisture barrier, but gives the floor an extra protection. PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS • Two strips of Evazote 50 is glued into the board. Dimensions are 8 x 10 mm and 11 x 9 mm • Plywood board width is 137 mm and thickness 23 mm.
