This hardwood oak timber plank comes direct from the mill in its rough sawn state - it has been kiln dried to the correct moisture content and comes waney edged with the bark and sap along the edges. It can be square edge if required. This hardwood timber is perfect for furniture making (solid oak tables enhance any dining room and are a perfect match for your floor), original planks and any other specification where tongue and groove boards are not required. The grade of the boards is character grade which does contain some knots and markings - however it is available in a prime grade timber(by special order). Although our rough sawn timber is supplied unfinished we have a finishing service for all our wood products so it can be planed, sanded or finished to your specification - pricing available on request. These planks are kiln dried and have been planed down from the original rough sawn timber. it is available in 1", 2" or 3" thicknesses (please note that the finished board is less than this as the boards are 1" in rough sawn state - planing usually takes off aprox 3-4mm).
