      <title>Woca Maintenance Oil</title>
      <description>Woca Maintenance Oil

Woca Oils are available in Natural and White 2.5 litres. For buffing and maintaining oil-treated wood floors. Suitable for both hand and machine application.

Maintain an oiled wooden floor by using these natural Woca Oils from Denmark after preparation by wet cleaning with intensive wood cleaner. Sanding or scraping is not normally required. Only a small quantity of oil is needed to smooth loose wood fibres and repair any wear to the protective finish. Hence, this oil has a low viscosity to allow a very thin application. Maintenance is necessary when the floor has become worn. Maintenance Oil is also used during the commercial application of Master Oil, or to thin Master or Colour Oil for manual application.

Use White Maintenance Oil when re-oiling white oiled floors. If a white oiled floor has been damaged or sanded then touch-up the area with Colour Oil 188, extra white. Factory white-oiled floors can often be whiter than your repaired spot. If so do not repair with oil, but White Soap concentrate.

 Coverage

30-40m/litre

Usage Guide

Before a new floor is taken into use it is recommended to buff it – both industrially oiled floors and residentially oiled floors. The final buffing provides a hard-wearing
surface and may take place either by hand or with machine. Oiled floors should be maintened regularly – normally once a year, but more often when it comes to floors exposed to extremely hard wear.

Clean the floor with 125 ml Wood Cleaner mixed into 5l water. Leave the floor to dry for at least 8 hours. The floor must be completely dry.

Shake the container carefully. Apply approx. 100 ml oil per 4 m squared with pad, paint roller, cotton cloth or use polishing machine for large surfaces.

It is important that the Maintenance Oil is carefully polished into the wood. Continue polishing until the wood appears saturated and the surface looks uniform.

Wipe the floor with clean, dry cotton cloths before proceeding with the next section of floor to be finished. The floor should not appear wet and there should not be any excess oil left on the surface after polishing. Continue in sections untill the floor has been finished. When polished with polishing machine the floor will be pre-hardened after approx. 4 hours at 20° C and may cautiously be taken into use. Manually polished floors may be taken into use after 24 hours. The surface is fully hardened after 24 hours. Do not expose the floor to water during the hardening time.

      <title>Woca Master Oil</title>
      <description>Woca Master Oil

Woca Master Oil For initial oiling of all types of wood flooring. White is generally used for light wood species, and Natural is generally used for darker woods.

Usage Guide

Master Oil is ideal for large areas. It is recommendable to use a polishing machine. The Master Oil Natural is mainly used on dark wood species and enhances the natural warm glow of the wood whereas light wood species are often finished with Master Oil White which maintains and protects the natural light colour.

The unfinished woodwork should be freshly sanded with grit 100-120. Clean with 125 ml Wood Cleaner mixed with 5 l water. The floor must be completely dry and free from dirt and grease before the oil application. Recommended wood moisture max. 12 %. The oiling is made at min. 18° C.

Shake oil container well before and during use. Apply the oil with a short-haired paintroller in an even coat onto approx. 5-10 m2 of floor. Leave the oil to be absorbed for 5-10 minutes. If dry spots appear, apply more oil.

Excess oil is removed or scraped onto next section of floor to be finished. The area is now polished with a beige polishing pad under floor machine until the area appears saturated. The floor should not appear wet and no excess oil should be left on the surface after polishing. Continue in sections until the whole floor has been finished.

After 6-8 hours or when dry enough to walk on the floor should be buffed with white polishing pad. If a silk-mat surface is required, the finished floor may be buffed with 100ml Master Oil to 15 m2 of floor.

This is done after the pre-hardening time and the oil must be polished carefully into the floor. Remove any excess oil from the surface. After 12 hours the floor may be used with caution. The surface is fully hardened after 36-48 hours. Do not expose the floor to water during the hardening time.

      <title>Woca Water Based Decking Oil</title>
      <description>Woca Water Based Decking Oil

Woca water based decking oil prides a hard wearing protective layer on wooden decking. This decking oil is available in natural, teak, black, grey, walnut, bangkirai and larch.

Coverage: 12 - 15 m2 per litre.

Using Decking Oil

Treat new decking timber with oil before use. Clean thoroughly before starting the treatment. For old decks, clean before treatment using Decking Cleaner, then let the wood dry for approximately 24 hours. Make sure the wood is completely clean and dry. Sand down any wood fibres with fine sandpaper. Perform the treatment in dry weather only. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Stir the oil thoroughly before use. Apply the oil evenly using a brush or paint roller. Treat the crosscut ends first. Remove any excess oil with lean cotton cloths after no more than 20 minutes. Take particular care to remove excess oil from joints and grooves. If the surface does not appear to be saturated with oil, repeat the treatment. It takes 24 to 48 hours for the oil to harden completely, depending on weather conditions and outdoor temperature. The wood must not be exposed to water during this period.
