Representing the ultimate in "modular" premium quality, timber framed folding / sliding doors, Trufold is superbly constructed out of highly fashionable engineered White Oak and compares more than favourably to expensive bespoke equivalents in virtually every way.

Optimum Versatility

Mindful of the need to satisfy typical "daily use" the third door hinges open and closed for easy access, meaning routine everyday chores like letting pets out or hanging out the washing can be done with ease.

Opening Options

Due to its sophisticated design and superior engineering, Trufold is fully reversible* meaning YOU decide whether left or right opening best suits your needs. No other "off the shelf" system currently on the market affords this complete freedom of choice. All you need to ensure is that you choose which direction you want the doors to open before assembling and installing the frame and then follow the assembly instructions for either left or right opening - it really is that easy. (* = the Trufold doors must always open outwards).

The doors come in unfinished white oak and need to be treated with osmo oil before being fitted. These doors need to be finished with a micro porous wood stain or paint.

Part L Compliance

On 1st April 2002, new legislation came into effect, dictating that all replacement windows and doors installed in commercial buildings and private residences have to meet the energy saving requirements of the Building Regulations (Part L).

This move was part of a package of measures introduced to improve energy efficiency.
By incorporating low E glass into the double glazed units, which delivers optimum thermal performance, Trufold achievs full Part L compliance and thereby helps to reduce heating bills. The U value of these doors is 1.9.

BS6375 - 1:2004

Trufold also meets the criteria laid down in order to satisfy BS6375-1:2004, a universally recognised standard, denoting the performance of windows and doors in terms of weathertightness.

To achieve the prestigious standard, the units were exposed to air permeability, water tightness tests, leak tests and wind resistance and test pressure to almost hurricane levels.

Finish

These Trufold doors have been finished with a Sikkens Industrial Cetol Lacquer. They are firstly coated with an end grain sealer and a joint sealer, it is all then finished with 1 base coat and 2 top coats to create the perfect finish durable for both external and internal elements.

All our doors are veneered wood unless stated otherwise. Internal doors have a solid softwood core, external doors have a solid hardwood core. The thickness of the internal doors is 35mm and external doors are 44mm. Fire doors come as solid core fire rated doors and are 44mm thick - these are available in a number of our door ranges.

Oak skirting complements any wood flooring very well and will hide any gaps between the flooring and sides of the walls.
  • Trufold External French Door Pair Sets - These great doors come in oak engineer and with three coats of factory applied finish or White with a hardwood engineered core and three coats of factory applied white finish so that you can fit the sets straight away without further finishing
